Maker V-10, the open lab for sustainable product development in Copenhagen
We’re proud to announce the launch of Maker V-10, an open lab in Copenhagen that’s set to build the strongest community for physical entrepreneurs and sustainable product development.
Thanks to an invitation from NREP, we’re building a big urban lab and community center that spans over +800m2. This means we can offer even better conditions for physical entrepreneurs with new machines, functions, and options. We will build on our previous workshop and offer office space and workshops to work with wood, metal, electronics, graphics and painting with laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC machines and all the powertools you can dream of.

At Maker V-10, we’re more than just a workshop community, event space, and shared office for hardware start-ups. We’re a hub of creativity and curiosity that’s dedicated to helping physical entrepreneurs develop and scale products and businesses. Here, designers meet engineers, and architects meet plastic experts. This is where ideas turn into inspirational projects, physical products, and new businesses.
With a mix of digital production technologies and traditional craftsmanship, Maker V-10 is the perfect place for people from different backgrounds and interests to come together and develop new products in an innovative environment. We welcome entrepreneurs who are curious and open to exploring new opportunities and pushing the boundaries of urban and local production in a globalized world. Let’s work towards a sustainable future that’s both physical and concrete – and where everyone can participate.

Spor10 - a community hub at the heart of the new "Sporkvarteret"
Get ready to witness the transformation of the historic building, Toldkammerbygningen, into Spor10, a dynamic, indoor/outdoor urban space where people of all ages can come together and engage in shared activities, no matter the season.
From then to now
Located at Vasbygade 10, in the heart in what in a few years will be an entirely new neighborhood called “Sporvejskvarteret”, Spor10 will be a frontrunner of the area’s development and a physical and social embodiment of Jernbanebyen’s vision to promote health, happiness and community involvement.
Multiple partners and organsations – including Maker V-10 – are developing the community. Stay tuned for more information when Spor 10 is officially launched in late May.
Jernbanebyen is transforming former rail yards into a green & thriving neighborhood
Jernbanebyen is one of the last, main areas for urban development in Central Copenhagen. Over the next decade, Jernbanebyen will become home to 9,000 residents and 4,000 workers. It is a special place with a long history, having been a hub for railway operations and now holds the potential to house all the best of Copenhagen. Jernbanebyen can help the city promote mental and physical health by establishing new parks and soccer pitches, as well as ensuring inclusion and affordability through a diverse range of housing, including 25% social housing. Biodiversity and climate adaptation is at the forefront of the development, while also ensuring spaces for workshops and creative business and making sure that historic buildings that give the neighborhood its character are preserved.
Jernbanebyen is led by the landowners DSB Ejendomsudvikling A/S, Freja Ejendomme A/S, NREP, Novo Holdings and Industriens Pension in collaboration with the City of Copenhagen. The local plan is currently being completed, with anticipated approval in Summer 2024, with construction beginning in 2025.
